Little Stars Kids are extremely grateful to Lady Mayoress Nina Schrinner, the Chair of the Lord Mayors Community Trust and the Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner.
Lady Mayoress Schrinner joined with Trustees and Ambassadors to award 25 incredible local charities over $109,000 in grants for the November Ratepayer Charitable Support grand round.
Each quarter almost 4000 generous residents donate their rates discount to the Charitable Trust, helping local grassroots charities make an impact in the lives of the city’s most vulnerable residents.
This “Rate Payers Grant” will help fund Little Stars Learners, which is a groundbreaking program providing one-on-one trauma-informed tutoring to QLD kids living in long term foster care.
By creating engagement in learning, we can help break the cycle and give kids in care the hope of a much brighter future.
